Album Notes:
John’s fifth solo album after a ‘break’ from making music for himself.. During this period he was working with the ‘DLear’(Shaun) band in the studio recording their songs (really making the tea!). Although his own material took a back seat somewhat he was still experimenting with new tracks and ideas which resulted in 1998 in ‘Silverbird’; partly inspired by the Space Shuttle’s exploits; released on a joint venture with Groove Unlimited (GR-018/Hall 9002 1998), and some of the tracks were performed at the Euro-Sonic Festival in Sweden and also at the E-live Festival in Nijmegen (Nl). The band’s surprise of the day was the appearance of Sir Paul McCartney and Co. which took them aback a little to say the least! JD says he was really a nice guy and very supportive.
